WHAT IS MICROBLADING AND HOW DOES IT WORK?

Before each incision, the blade is dipped in a pigment selected to match your natural brow colour. As the blade cuts the skin, the pigment is deposited, creating hair-like strokes that mimic the appearance of real brow hairs. After the treatment, your skin heals by forming a microscopic capsule around the pigment, holding it securely in place. This results in long-lasting colour and shape, typically lasting for a year or more before gradually fading.
WHAT CAN I EXPECT DURING THE TREATMENT?
Before your microblading treatment, you’ll have a consultation and a patch test to ensure the procedure suits you. On the day of your appointment, your brows will be carefully mapped to determine the ideal shape. We recommend that you apply numbing cream is applied approximately 20 minutes before the treatment begins to minimise discomfort.
During the procedure, a disposable blade and pigment are used to create precise, hair-like strokes. While the process itself is relatively quick, you may experience some discomfort, especially towards the end of the treatment. Additional numbing cream can be applied to ease any sensitivity. Your therapist will also use disinfectant before and after the procedure to ensure cleanliness.
Post-treatment, your brows may appear slightly red with some tenderness, and the colour will initially look darker than the final healed result. Over time, as the skin heals, you can expect fuller, more defined brows with a natural shape. Aftercare instructions will be provided to help you care for your brows during the healing process.

WHEN WILL I SEE THE RESULTS FROM MY MICROBLADING?
You will see the results of your microblading treatment immediately after the procedure. Initially, your brows will appear darker than the final healed result. Over the course of a week or two, the colour will soften and settle into its final shade as your skin heals.
ARE THERE ANY RISKS INVOLVED?
As with any procedure involving small incisions, there is a risk of infection if aftercare instructions are not followed correctly. It is essential to keep the area clean and follow the provided guidelines to minimize this risk.
In very rare cases, there may be a risk of granulomas, which are collections of immune-responsive cells that form as the body attempts to reject the pigment. This is essentially an immune reaction to the ink, but such occurrences are uncommon.
